Kryptonite is Real!

August 25, 2007

Well, what do you know, the mythical stone that can cause harm to Superman aka The Man of Steel is actually real. Miners unearthed the newly found mineral in the Jadar regions of Serbia hence it was officially named as Jadarite by London's Natural History of Museum. Its synonimous composition to kryptonite was discovered by Dr. Chris Stanley, a minerologist, when he was browsing the web using the new mineral's chemical formula - sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide, the same description of kryptonite used in the film Superman Returns.
Though the fictional kryptonite is green and glows as it emits radiation, jadarite is actually harmless and is white in color though it turns pink when shone at with ultraviolet light. So, why Jadarite instead of Kryptonite? Well kryptonite can not be used because the material does not contain krypton which is a real element in the Periodic Table with an atomic number of 36.

The Perfect Illusion

Can you find THE HIDDEN TIGER? Open your eyes and broaden your mind and you'll somewhat realize that it's right under your nose. It's a pretty neat trick that I myself was fooled at first. There were so many illusions about animals but this one is very different. Created by Rusty Rust an American wildlife artist, the challenge is how to think out of the box and find what is really not there. So goodluck and have fun.

John Rambo trailer

August 9, 2007

Did I say that I am an avid Star Wars fan? Oh maybe to Blog Catalogers. But I am, not only Star Wars but movies in general. I love to watch, either on the big screen or on the tube. It's one of my favorite pastimes. I remember the time when I was still a toddler, my mom would plop me on the sofa while she attends to her laundries leaving me watch my old TV program Sesame Street. Well, I suppose that started it all.

Anyways, I caught a glimpse of Sylvester Stallone's resurrection of John Rambo clip. I'd say that it is one of the most brutal and violent trailers I have ever seen. I am not that an avid Rambo fan but I was able to watch the entire series. I think this one still has the touch of the second Rambo series but this time more gruesome and way too bloody. Rambo is old but he's still kicking but.
